    Kruzin, what`s new about "G400 z-buffer troubles"

In which PD drivers release can we await the final solution of the known z-buffer troubles in D3D (UT clipping) and OGL games or is it unsolveable on G400 series card?

Please break your NDA and tell us some good news.

If not fixed/fixable in this hardware, does the G800 have this issue as well?

This is one of the main sticking points of me waiting for a G800 to start building my next machine. Thanks for anything you can say.

All I know is that Matrox is aware of the problem, and looking for a solution. Unfortuatly, my crystal ball is in the shop, so I can't see when or if they will find that solution.

They already fixed the shadow problem in Q3A in 16-bit z-buffer. I don't know if that was due to the z-buffer error, but of it is, we can expect more in the next driverrelease I think :-)
